AX8 as MIDI controller ?

Hi,
Instead the amp block I’d like to connect my tube amp (has MIDI in) to the effect chain (using FX loop block) and control the amp channel switching with AX8. Can AX8 in this case be as a MIDI controller which can change tube amp channel together when Scenes ? If yes should I connect it with 4CM ?

I control my Synergy channels ( head and preamps) with Ax8 in 4CM , work great !

Do not hesitate using 3 humbuster cables in 4CM , it help for unwanted noises .
