AX8 > Apogee Quartet > Logic X

I have had an Ultra for 10 years and XL and use an Apollo interface. My buddy got in a new AX8 and uses and Apogee Quartet into Logic X. We struggled a bit to get it set up to record regarding software monitoring, input monitoring as to Logic and on the input of the Apogee. It is substantially different than my Apollo settings.

We only got a reasonable signal choosing 'Instrument' but I would think that coming out of the AX8 it should be set to +4 or -10 on the Apogee.

I realize it's a long shot to find someone using the same combo but I thought I would ask anyway about the proper input settings and signal chain. Thanks.

I have a Duet and set it to +4 which matches the default Axe8 output. I then set the Axe 8 output levels to get the signal level I want.
