Nice!!

Release notes.....
  • AX8 version 10.00 incorporates some of the “Ares” modeling from the Axe-Fx III.
  • Improved CPU usage in some presets.
  • Improved AX8-Edit communication stability.
Not included in the 'Release Notes' but yes....The new Plexi 2204 and the 2 new Friedmans are in there too.

No New amps?? i'm at work now :mad: i have to wait two more hours to install it...:confused:
 
There is definitely a new chewy quality to the amp sims. Pull up your favorite Fender model, for example, and give it a play. ;)

Did the faster Scene/Preset-Switching make it into the new firmware?

Keep in mind that the CPU hardware of the AX8 is the same, so anything that is in the Axe3 due to its ~5x more powerful CPU may not make it back to the AX8.

Just saying that as a general statement. Who knows what is possible?
