Presets MASTER THREAD - AustinBuddy 1000+ LIVEGOLD TonePack for Cygnus X2

Third party presets and packs for Fractal Audio products
That program looks supper cool. I have always wanted something like this, especially for BLOCKS, not just Presets. Cool!
Its pretty nice... like everything its not perfect either... but its nice to be able to search and sort, tag favorites, make set lists, etc. A lot of what I'm tagging is already embedded in the preset itself so its a little silly manually tagging things but I just don't have time to write my own utility for this. I started to a while back but ran out of steam and just didn't have the time to dedicate to it. The tags in MacOS probably were sufficient but I like the purpose built software. Now... I just need to narrow my filter for what I tag as favorites from Austin Buddy (AB) cause there are way too many ;)

If you guys are using the OMG9, there is one thing to change. I had set the upper bank limit at 51 (because of my Axe-Fx III and FC-12 with a bank size of 10, 51 is correct).

But on the FC-6 foot controller layout (or when using my global file), that needs to be changed. Because the bank size is 6, not 10 -- so the Bank upper limit needs ot be 85, not 51, to let you go through all the banks.

In Axe-Edit, just go to Foot Controllers then Layout 1, and change the value of 51 to 85 in both the Bank -1 and the Bank +1 HOLD switches.

Here are two screen shots showing where this is (dotted box)

If you have an FM3 only, the default value the unit comes with should have this already. You cna check it, but if it says 51, you know what to do now!

Today I’ve been working on the new amps in Axe-Fx III firmware 14 that will be in a future TonePack update — new Plexi, Soldano bright, and the Archon.

The Archon is my new favorite amp model. At one point just had to stop and play it for half and hour on my PRS David Grissom DGT - it is smooth and thick and meaty, really great tone. That new Soldano bright is awesome too, it does a nice”Comfortably Numb” lead kind of tone with no drive block needed! We have run out of room now to add new amp models in Live Gold unless we add new banks in future! 🤣

@austinbuddy, what cabs are you liking for the Archon and the Soldano, if you don't mind saying?
Soldano is the same cabs as the Soldano preamps in Love Gold (factory legacy ones paired).

For the Archon, I use the speaker impedance defaulT (Friedman 4x12) but use the Fractal M160 Greenback legacy paired with the Soldano 12L factory legacy.

Thanks so much for sharing your tagged factory set. I've been meaning to do something like that in spreadsheet form for a long while, but it was always too big a job. Gotta find out if there's a way to export the TagSpaces data....
All the tag spaces data is just in json format already so really easy to manipulate. The whole tag database is one big json file and there is a hidden directory .ts where tag spaces keeps a single .json for each file.

For instance the Yngwie.syx file has an accompanying .ts/Yngwie.syx.json file with these contents:

If you're techie at all its pretty easy to just transform it all into a csv and pull it into a spreadsheet. Its really just an array in the object called "tags" and you'd want the "title" of each.

Was going through some Friedman amps last night and discovered the most recent Small Box and Dirty Shirleys did not have the correct dialed-in boost and saturation values. They shows as default values (+12db boost and 4.0 saturation).

Will fix that for forthcoming update. Have the new amp models in there too.

We just need to wait until firmware 2.0 is released officially (not beta) and once that's done, I'll get an updated firmware 2.0 version into your accounts. (Current version firmware 1.6 TonePack works fine of course on new 2.0 beta firmware).

I purchased your pack. "Please view the contents of the README folder in the zip file download, and examine all documents there with instructions on how to install your TonePack"

Can't find the said folder. There are 3 pdfs with updates but no instructions.

1.README!!! August 24, 2020 FM3 firmware 1.05 and Axe-Fx III firmware 12.14 Update & Release Notes
2.Using AustinBuddy LAYOUTS for the FM3, FM3+FC6, and FC-12 — August 7th, 2020
3. List of presets.

Those are the correct docs. In a late August update, I probably got rid of the README folder and just put them in the zip at a directory level above the AX3 and FM3 specifics.

When I update to firmware 14 and FM3 2 once final in a few weeks/months, I'll fix it.

There is a YouTube video on installing and using the LiveGold presets here if that helps.

Hi! I'm listening the pack via studio monitors Alesis M1Active, and almost at all presets I want to raise up a little 4HZ to get the sound more open. I using in ear monitors on stage at regular volume. not braincrushing, and I'm afraid that the sound will be dark a little, what are you thinking about it? The pack designed at high volumes, how I can use it correctly in ears? Thanks!
