I am here, fellow forumites, to once again espouse my adoration for @austinbuddy's ears and ability to dial in tones that are just perfectly useful and tasteful.
I'm working on a cover of Friend of the Devil for a company talent show. I wanted to drop a little electric solo into the otherwise acoustic track. I pulled up @austinbuddy's Live Gold pack on my III and flipped to the one amp I can live on for the rest of eterinity: the '59 Bassman. Plugged in my Silver Sky, picked the Low Gain scene for single coils. Added a touch of tape echo...
...and hit record.
Beautiful tones that sit just right in the mix. No need to post-process. No need to tweak. No need to fuss. They just work.
Briiliant.
