Audio stutters and pops on Windows 10 PC

Hi guys. I've had this PC for a year and a half. All's been well except only in the last couple of months I started to get frequent audio stutters etc., even when disconnected from wifi. My machine is optimally set up for audio, by turning off windows effects, power management and favouring background processes over app performance etc.

I ran Latency Monitor and dxgkrnl.sys - DirectX Graphics Kernel seems to be the issue.

Has anybody had issues with DirectX causing these type of issues before? Is there somewhere I can disable/enable it without crashing the system?

Cheers!

I dunno, maybe there are other issues too, all seem graphics related:

REPORTED HARD PAGEFAULTS
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Hard pagefaults are events that get triggered by making use of virtual memory that is not resident in RAM but backed by a memory mapped file on disk. The process of resolving the hard pagefault requires reading in the memory from disk while the process is interrupted and blocked from execution.

NOTE: some processes were hit by hard pagefaults. If these were programs producing audio, they are likely to interrupt the audio stream resulting in dropouts, clicks and pops. Check the Processes tab to see which programs were hit.

Process with highest pagefault count: nvcontainer.exe

Total number of hard pagefaults 13392
Hard pagefault count of hardest hit process: 7983
Number of processes hit: 40
