Assign MIDI Functions Directly to FC-12 / FC-6 Footswitches

The ability to directly assign MIDI functions (without control switches or with additional control switches) to the footswitches of the FC-12 would be life changing (or at least gig changing). Being able to assign Note-On, Note-Off, and other messages would let the AXE III be a viable master controller for a lot of Music Directing functions in bands. While there is limited functionality with control switches, the limit of only 6 and the inability to send Note On messages means that it can not control a lot of the key Apps and Programs for live backing tracks and automation. Even directly controlling stage lights would become possible with this simple addition.
 
The FC-12/FC-6 was not designed to be a MIDI controller. With so many features and so much flexibility in controlling the Axe-Fx III, we had to draw the line somewhere. One possibility might be to add Note On/Note Off to the list of message types for CS MIDI. That's just a new parameter value and a few different bytes in the data.
 
Even just that would be awesome! Even just note on would make such a huge difference. A lot of us end users now have tons of stuff to control. Having one controller solves a number of logistical woes. I'll bump the more control switches wish. Thanks for responding.
