Anyone use a s/pdif rca to toslink optical converter?

I am wanting to connect the S/PDIF out of the Fractal to the TOSLINK optical in on my UAD Apollo interface.

I see a bunch of converters for under 20$ US.

Does anyone use one of these and does the quality of the converter affect the audio quality?

I got a cheap $10-20 on amazon- works fine for connecting my triton extreme out to my old interface- never had any jitter issues- actually- i did but they were all caused by a bad RCA connector optical cable- but surprisingly the cheap converter was always great.
