Anyone run audio into the FX Return?

Has anyone ever run audio into the FX loop return on the AX-8?

I'm looking to connect the audio out of my Surface table into the FX Return (Input 2, Left and Right) of the AX-8.
While I could use an external mixer for this I'd rather not.
 
Thanks for the confirmation. I assume there are no "gotch yas" in the equation because no one has mentioned them. :)
