Anyone replace AXE FX II screen? Easy?

Fractal Fanatic
Having an issue with the screen and Fractal is kind enough to ship me a new screen to install. I'm handy and was just wondering how easy this is and time involved? Thanks!

I exchanged screens in my two Axe FX II cause I liked nicer colour in my spare one, and it was very easy..Four plastic nuts and plug..that's it :)

How about the large rotary encoder? Every time I use mine, it will shortly go to the Control screen

My rotary knob keeps jumping presets backwords and forwards when I move in forwards or backwords... does it make any sense ? lol

IIRC:

Remove top plate. (careful with the fan wire)
Remove front unit. (make a note of the connections)
Remove panel to get access to electronics. (req. pulling off the knobs and encoder)
Remove plastic screws holding the display.
Replace screen.

In my case I did it without removing any panels etc.. I used some small pliers to catch lower nuts..Easy..

Absolutelly no need to unscrew the frontpanel.
Remove topplate
unscrew 4 plasticnuts and unplug the cable
Plug cable in new screen and screw on the 4 plastic nuts.

All in all 5 - 10 min work.

If you feel you need a bit more space you can remove the powersuply. (4 screws)
That might make it easier to fit the nuts.
But dont worry, it is a really simple job :)
