In my case I did it without removing any panels etc.. I used some small pliers to catch lower nuts..Easy..IIRC:
Remove top plate. (careful with the fan wire)
Remove front unit. (make a note of the connections)
Remove panel to get access to electronics. (req. pulling off the knobs and encoder)
Remove plastic screws holding the display.
Replace screen.
