Anyone looking forward to TC Electronic’s Plethora X5?

Don't forget that the TC Plethora has NO drive pedals at all. Most of the other effects, but no drives, overdrives, distortion, fuzz, whatever. So it won't replace a full pedalboard - just reduce the number of individual pedals and the connections.

Are you serious? That would limit people that play certain genres then wouldn't it?

Speaking of "fuzz"; I often wondered if one always needed effects or the amp itself was enough alone (but isn't it also considered "effects" even if the "drive" is coming from the amp itself, without effects pedal?). But back to "fuzz"; this interesting electric guitar has pickups made to "fuzz":

It seems to be aimed more at keyboard players for developing layers of sounds and effects. Kind of funny how a company that not too long ago was typically known for studio effects is now synonymous with certain guitar effects.
