Anyone have any Extreme tone matches?

Nuno's tone is just massive and amazing, anyone tried a tone match on any of his stuff yet?

Agreed but where can we get isolated tracks? Most of the guitar lines are accompanied with pretty dynamic drums... that makes the matching virtually impossible. Point me in the right direction and I'll make a match.

+1, especially Pornograffiti era, although III Sides and Waiting for the Punchline have some great tones, too.

That's how i feel about Yngwie. Great chops, but his tone usually kills it for me.

IMO. Awful tone. GREAT guitarist.

Well thanks for your input.

I'll try the youtube clip you posted. I assume you mean the section right after the finger tapping and before the flanger or phaser kicks in (~1:29). That sounds good enough to use.

Great Idea!

I'm a huge Nuno fan (own two N4s and an N3) but I have to agree with ElectronPirate, some of his early tones were awful ..

Some of his clean tones on Waiting for the Punchline and III Sides were very interesting though!
I wouldn't mind the "Mutha" tone though, just for fun.

I'm definitely subscribing to this thread!

we need an ADA MP-1 amp built in!

I need to get my hands on a triaxis and TM all the james/kirk settings and an ADA mp-1 and TM all the paulgilbert/nuno settings out there

You could try tone matching the part after the solo of Decadence Dance, where the guitar is heard alone. Also the part after the solo of Suzy from Pornograffiti, also the guitar is heard alone. Nuno,s tone is awesome.

I think his tone on Saudades De Rock is his best tone yet. I read in another thread about tracks being pulled from Guitar Hero (just guitar and band w/o guitar). I've been poking around the internet for hours trying to find such tracks with limited success. If those GH Extreme songs could be had, that'd be the way to go.
