What effect are using in intro and solo?

In the intro he is using a pitch shifter with intelligent harmony.
In the solo he is using a pitch shifter with a "Whammy" effect. At least that's what I can hear.
The Pitch lock in the Axe II can help you achieve similar results.

I had tried to dial in his tone for the cover of this song I had done a while back. From what I can tell he is surely using a pitch shifter to have another octave layered on top of his tone. I plan to release these presets shortly on the axe change. You can hear a demo here:
