Anyone been getting Guitar Player for free?

I haven’t paid for a renewal in years and they keep sending them to me, it was a gift from my now deceased mother in law, so I know I’m not being charged...

thinking maybe they are just giving them away to keep the ad revenue flowing?
 
Hell no! They start sending me renewal notices about a month after I renew!

"Hurry! Time is running out! Renew now and Save!"

Maybe your MIL paid for years of subscription?
 
I kept receiving Guitar Player for about three years after no renewing my subscription. I also started receiving Popular Mechanics, Sports Illustrated and a couple other magazines at that same time. None of which I’d ever subscribed.
A few months ago I resubscribed to GW because of a $22 for 2 years offer. Less than a buck each.
