happens to me a lot, just reboot the AXE8 and/or restart AXE Edit

Same here - rebooting AX8 as opposed to software appears to be a remedy

Are you using a mac?
I am using a mcbook pro, and i also had this several times. Sometimes 3 to 4 times in 5 minutes.
Everytime i did a shutdown of the AX8.... Really frustrating.

iMac - 90% of the time i have no issues. In fact I don't recall issues since I've been on the latest firmware and AX8-Edit version

I had similar issues awhile back, but a new USB cable recently seems to have addressed the issue. I'll have some extended time to play with it this weekend, so we'll see.

I got this error frequently when I first got my AX8 but ever since I followed the sequence below...never happened since:

1. Turn on AX8 with usb UNplugged.
2. Launch Axe Edit
3. Connect usb to AX8
4. Voila
