Any tips on dialing in George Harrison's tone for his solo on SOMETHING?

Full Res IRs produce a similar effect. This is definitely not double tracked, just roomy.

I always wonder if these stems are pre mixing EQ/compression or post mixing EQ/compression. Most of these stems seem to lack (from the final mix of these songs) the mastering EQ, multiband compression, and, in the era of vinyl, summing everything below 100 Hz or so to mono so the needle doesn't jump out of the vinyl grooves.

One thing people miss when trying to match stems from this era is that a lot of tracks were opto compressed and aggressively recorded to tape to maximize signal to noise ratios on a type of tape that was not as manufactured well as the tape was in the 80s or 90s in terms of frequency response and dynamic range.

gear was incredibly simple back then. probably no need to overthink the details on this one.
