Any reason this wouldn't make a great guitar road case?

One issue I can think of, is there is foam on the inside, which might stick to a guitar's finish. On sale at the moment for $110 which seems better than some, and it looks much sturdier than some, is waterproof. I've got a smaller one for tools and it is pretty solid.

Maybe just pick out some foam, and coat boat sides with some kind of fabric?

Has anyone done this?
 
As a Euroweenie I can't help but think that only an American would advertise that case as a gun case. It says for all sorts of things, but they show it as a gun case.

No judgment intended, just found it funny.
 
Most gun owners care as much (if not more) than guitarist do about the finish - I would think this would be safe for a guitar, but I am just guessing here.
 
I just measured my Strat and and as far as the width goes that case would only allow less than 3/8" clearance on each edge. IMO it's just not wide enough for most guitars.
