Any guidance on “low gain” input trim settings?

just a general question. Hoping someone could help me with. I recall reading somewhere that all the amps are modeled assuming the “high gain” input on amps that have two input plugs.

Believe I also heard that you can reduce the input trim to simulate he lower gain input. Is there any guidance or recommendation on what to set the value to?

In addition to setting input gain at 0.5, you should also use a lower input impedance. For example, a typical Fender low gain input has an input impedance of approx 136K, while he high gain input is just over 1M (1000K). Lower input impedance loads the high frequency peak from your guitar (so it's less bright) and will also slightly change your guitar volume taper, so it might be something to experiment with.
