Any good acoustic sim patches

Hi guys, I used to use my Parker fly with my old multi effect unit, on it I had a piezo and so I had some patches at up for it which gave me lovely acoustic sounds good enough in a mix with a band, at the moment I use a mm reflex guitar which has no piezo and so I'm just wondering if any users have had luck getting a patch to sound close to an acoustic without using a piezo. Any patches or advice on how to accomplish this would be great help as I really don't have any experience trying to do this and it would be great to have access to acoustic type tones instead of having to change guitars all night during a gig. Thanks

You need to create our acquire an IR that translates the sound of your electric to the sound of an acoustic.

Both Fremen and Moke offer commercial patches with acoustic sims. I am a beta tester for Moke, and I really like the results I get with his sim. You can find the link in my signature.

Uhm, I like Moke's acoustic sim presets (bought one myself) but I would suggest to get in touch with Moke directly because it really depends on how close your guitar pup sound is to what Moke's guitar is providing. I found the presets sound more like a Dobro when played with my guitar but I cannot blame that on Moke or anyone else.

Thanks for mention guys.....@Smittefar .....It would be great if you tagged me when my name comes up so that I can respond. I happened on this thread by accident.

@ChristThePhone ...You lucky SOB, The Dobro preset usually cost double...LOL.

Can you give me some info on your guitar/pickup combination? Or better yet, send me a DI clip so that I can check it out? I'm always looking for ways to improve my presets. Especially that one, as it is the most affected by the guitar/pickups used.

Ok so saw this post, and thought how hard could it be to build an acoustic patch? well as you already know if your a purest and looking for those wood nuances of a fine acoustic guitar its something that probably takes a lot more planning than I could spare tonight however I did create a patch so thought I would post it, I'm using a Ibanez guitar with PAF hum-bucker pickups and the patch was build around the neck position.

Thanks a million dave I'll give it a go over the weekend when I get some free time, thanks for going to the effort

Our welcome Paul, i'm actually interested in this topic myself it should be a skill we should have now we have such a granular editing device, i'm suspecting the answer may be a bit mathematical and need to calculate the frequency of your guitar to change it into a frequency of an acoustic guitar if I have some time this weekend Im going to catch up a bit of research and apply it to the AX8 patch I posted, I Googled acoustic guitar frequencies and found quite a bit of literature to go through one post on wikipedia was a bit over the top mathematically for me but wow very interesting, here is some links i thought are note worthy.

Cheers DaveO

OK so I found this post with Yek sharing a IR of what i believe its a nylon string guitar and accompanying matrix so anyone that hasn't seen it here you go... (at end of this post), after loading it I realized the IR really was revealing what a acoustic guitar sounds like miked or with one of those embedded bridge pickups I thought the characteristics were kind of phase sounding with extra low end, somewhat boomy so with that in mind I came up with this idea to use a phaser to try and enhance my previous patch somewhat and was pleasantly surprised. I have come to the conclusion that Smittefar is correct that in order to have that exact ACG sound you need an IR to get you past the finish line or of course FAS engineering needs to come to the rescue (wink) at any rate the patch is attached and hope you enjoy...
Here is Yek post....
