Is the routing beneath the pick guard cut only for the HSS config or is it cut to allow for HH/HSH too?


On the verge of purchasing but would like to know ahead.

Hey quick question, is the nut on your ST-1 slightly narrower than the nut shelf? Im sure i read somewhere that someone with an ST had the same thing which is why i made a point to check when i got this one. It all plays just fine but the Floyd nut is maybe 0.75mm short of the nut shelf on either side. Im sure ESP wouldnt put the "wrong" width nut on but its curious to me.
 
Yeah mine is shorter than the neck too. When I got the guitar it really annoyed me because I expected perfection from the Japanese. I'm over it now, it's my main gigging guitar.
