I totally disagree. It's almost as easy to use the Axe Fx III front panel as it is to use Axe-Edit.
To be honest, since I've gotten the 3, I haven't even used axe edit yet
100% front panel baby, the way it SHOULD be!
Well all you blokes must have grown up in the 80's like me to WANT to touch the front of any rack unit, lol. But I use the editors for all my gear.With my Axe Fx II, it was almost always Axe-Edit.
Right now it's about 80% front panel.
There are some specific things that are not possible from front panel and it's a bit easier to jump around in the editor, but for most things I don't feel a need. That speaks volumes about the UI!
And I was a keyboardist in the 80's so I know rack gear and UI's
I also have a Helix which has one of the best on Unit UI's I have ever touched. Maybe that has colored my reaction. But I STILL use the editor on that.
