Is there a source anywhere on the net where famous guitarists tone is analyzed? You know, something to start with when you want to look for a specific sound and recreate it as best as possible. Such as the kind of amps and cabinets used, effects, special tips, etc...

Axechange is a great place to start. Download presets that others have created and tweak to what you want.

I think you are looking for the Tone Matching that the Axe FX does. You would need someone with an Axe Fx to convert the TM into a cab block to use it on the AX8.
