Analog mic pre into input 2 okay?

I'm gearing up to record some vocals and don't have a dedicated interface. Will the XLR input 2 on the Axe3 work well coming out of an analog mic pre (golden age pre73)?

I put my Art Tube Pre MP (or whatever it's called) into that one all the time. You HAVE to. Just try to plug a mic in without a preamp lol!
