There timing of the various parts seems off but it sounds cool.

To me it sounds a bit like you're using two cabs in serial... A bit like the old V-amp sounded to get rid of the aliasing. Actually it do sounds like a V-amp as I remember it. ;)
 
Japanese Rock... Since in japan styles aren't as defined, and they all seem to borrow a lot from 80's hard rock, it's kinda a new genre on its own.

OK, just checking that's what you meant. Agreed on genres in Japan. Often you'll get heavier, darker bands using poppy melodies (Dir en Grey 'Cage') and on the flip side, boybands who use rock arrangements for their music (KAT-TUN 'Real Face', written by Tak Matsumoto of B'z).
