Amps with input drive & overdrive knobs, can overdrive be CC'd?

Hi in the Carol Anne Tucana amp model the amp has an input drive and and overdrive knob.

I was trying to link the overdrive knob to an external pedal to kick in extra drive for a boost rather than using the input drive but right clicking on it fails to open the modifier screen.

Is it not possible to link the overdrive knob to a modifier??

Unfortunately not - Here shown with the IIC+

You can only attach modifiers to the knobs that have the little link button in the center, e.g. Input drive, master volume, input trim, but not Overdrive and BMT

You might get the result you want by tying a modifier to input trim. It controls the gain before the Input Drive and Overdrive stages.

Hi, yeah prob get same only I read the overdrive knob does not alter the mid/hi content as the input trim does.
Well, least I know now.

I don't think, it's quite the same, but you might get what you want (or close to)

FWIW, Input trim is not supposed to alter mid/hi content at all.

You can at least modify it in the x/y settings of the amp. That is if you’re not using a different amp. The nice thing is there’s not really much, if any, lag because you’re using the same amp in both blocks and only altering one knob.
