When trying to dial in the right master volume on an amp, you often need to compensate the level knob to get a fair A/B comparison. It'd be really cool if these two parameters could be linked in such a way that you could adjust the master while keeping the output level fixed.
This is a fairly common feature on some compressors/limiters, but I've never seen it done before on an amp-sim/modeler. I imagine it must be fairly difficult considering each amp behaves differently and the two knobs are not 1:1.
On the other hand - Is this a bad approach for setting up an amp? Is it better to just set and forget? I'm still learning the amps and refining my process.
