Alluvial is the new project of Keith merrow and wes hoch. I was wondering if anyone had rough ideas of how to achieve their rythm guitar tone?

I'm going to guess and say Keith's tone is likely 5150 based. Based on what I hear, anyways.

Using an appropriate model of that family along with some modern output pickups with a fair amount of upper mids should get you most of the way there.

In an email chain with him:

There are actually a lot of different tones on the album, but most of it is Kemper profiles that I custom made from the various amps Wes and I own. The heavy tones are a Revv Generator 120, cleans are mostly a Friedman JJ, and the lead tones are a modified 5150 and/or a new Mesa Petrucci amp.

Been dying to get close to this for some time. Same goes for his Conquering Dystopia tones.
