Wish Allow "K" or "k" in numeric entry fields to speed entering thousands

Kind of like the wish to use comma work as a dot when entering numbers, I'd like to be able to use a "K" or "k" shortcut when entering numbers, like frequencies.

1K or 1k = 1000
1.1K or 1.1k = 1100
13K or 13k = 13000

and so on.
