Allan Holdsworth Improv lesson

I stumbled on this video a couple weeks ago and have been watching it in small increments.

This video is 5 hours long but based on what I've seen so far it's a really great look into the "building blocks" of Holdsworth.

ploughed through this a few days ago. tremendous piece of work, although i didn't think there was enough said about allan's use of patterns. it's an incredible resource and john should be very proud of what he's accomplished.

I remember long ago reading a statement by EVH who said that Allan was the only guitarist whose music he couldn't play.

Yes, I think there's a LOT of information but it doesn't go very deep - probably because of the volume of information.

Right now I'm just watching. I want to go back and watch with a guitar in hand later.
