Why.. Jerry wrote 9/10ths of the music and is as much a part of the sound as Layne. They still sound like AIC. 3/4ths of the band is there. Now dont get me started on the Queensryche debacle.
 
Alice in Chains is as good as it was, just different. I play in an Alice in Chains tribute band covering songs from all albums, the root remains the same with Jerry`s songs.

I have Jerry's solo albums and they are not as dark as the AIC or Mad Season stuff with Layne.
 
The Black Gives Way to Blue album was a great record. IMO, much more cohesive than the 3-legged dog album.
Very much looking forward to the new release next month.
 
True, songs like A looking in View and Check my Brain are awesome, well balanced album I think.
