Hey all,
I’ve been binge watching my RUSH Blu-ray concerts. I’m curious if any other Alex/RUSH fans here have dug into trying to duplicate some of the live lead tones Alex was getting al la R30/Snakes & Arrows/Time Machine/R40.
To me, those long/deep/haunting leads are some of the best tones of all time, I could spend weeks in them.
There is a YT video where Scott Appleton says he used two G-Forces for delay and one for reverb on the Time Machine Tour. I know he had those G-Forces in his rack on R30 also, I could see them with my binoculars.
Perhaps if Scott Appleton is lurking he can chime in.
I know @DavidCarrMusic is a big Alex fan who is active here.
It seems he has two delays going on at the same time and some reverb for a lot of the lead work. If anyone has any delay/reverb tips, timings, settings they’ve discovered please please share!
Thanks,
AK
