AlbertA's IR Convertor Won't Launch OSX 10.6.4

I've been having some issues using AlbertA's convertor since I updated to Snow Leopard a couple weeks ago. I'm also having the same trouble with my LIquid-Foot editor. I have Mandolane installed on a Mac Pro Quad and I'm using an M-Audio MidiSport 2x2 Anniversary. I only just got the MidiSport and was looking forward to being able to go from edit to testing on both the AFX and LF with the push of a button. I discovered the problem mixing IR's the other night at around 4am. Why is it always in the wee hours of the morning??

Anyways, the jar file shows up in the dock for a couple seconds then disappears. Initially it was also trying to open all my HAL plugins ("I've just picked up a fault in the AE35 unit." :ugeek:  ) I've since moved those to a safe folder to eliminate a couple variables. Here is the console readout since I removed the HAL plugins (I know everything hasn't been quite right with me... but I can assure you now, very confidently, that it's going to be all right again.") Thanks for the help.

It's not liking the MIDI provider classes for some reason...

I've never tried it on OSX....

Thanks Albert. Any OSX guys have an idea about this?? It's bugging the crap out of me and causing a huge kink in my workflow. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I think - and I'm not in front of my computer now and so could be wrong - that I had to get an update to Mandolane when I upgraded. Go to their site and see if you have the latest.

Works fine over here.

Try repairing disk permissions?
Check your Java Preferences with the app in the Utilities folder?
Make sure you've got the most up to date version of Java for OSX?

Thanks heaps. Disk permissions. The most obvious answer.....and of course I forgot.  I ran it and found 3 files with bad permissions that won't repair. All 3 are, surprise surprise, java support files. I've run the repair at least 6 or 7 times with no results. Here they are:

Permissions differ on "System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/A/Resources/Deploy.bundle/Contents/Resources/JavaPluginCocoa.bundle/Contents/Resources/Java/deploy.jar", should be lrwxr-xr-x , they are lrw-r--r-- .

Permissions differ on "System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6.0/Resources/JavaPluginCocoa.bundle/Contents/Resources/Java/deploy.jar", should be -rw-r--r-- , they are lrw-r--r-- .

Permissions differ on "System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6.0/Resources/JavaPluginCocoa.bundle/Contents/Resources/Java/libdeploy.jnilib", should be -rwxr-xr-x , they are lrwxr-xr-x .

Everything is up to date. Not such a good thing considering Avid Media Composer doesn't like 10.6.4, but supposedly fine for java.

Any more ideas would be great. Thanks heaps for the replies.

Try going to Sun's web site and dl'ing their latest Java for OSX installer and re-install java?

Try starting your Mac from its installer disk and run Disk Utility again?
Repair Permissions and Disk Repair?

Cheers for the suggestions.

It turns out you can ignore those permission messages. They don't alter anything.

I've tried to restart from the installer. It still didn't work and also created a whole bunch of other problems.

Java is only installed through Software Update in OSX.

I'm at a loss.

For some reason it works on my Mac Book Pro. Can't figure it out. I guess I'll just have to mix IR's on the Mac Pro then convert them on the Mac Book Pro. PITA Oh well. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

What are you saying?
You couldn't start up from the Installer Disk?
Or, you started up successfully from the Disk but it didn't solve your problems after you ran Disk Utility?

What other problems did starting up from the Installer Disk cause you?
