Adding a toe switch to an EV-2?

Since I try to bring down the weight of my fly rig, I am currently looking for expression pedals with toe switch that doesn't weight > 1kg (my current Mission SP-1 is really heavy). So, I've got the idea to mod an toe switch to the EV-2. From the pictures, looks like that it may be possible if I place the switch on the left.

Did anybody done this here (or has a good alternative)?

You could just use the auto engage feature and not bother with a toe switch. I use that on all my presets that use a wah.

I'm curious to add a toe switch too,
theres another thread here where a guy added a Toe switch to a EV1,hopefully the EV2 can work as well
