Adam A7X studio monitors...whoa

I wouldn't worry about latency within the A7X loudspeaker itself. It will be negligible. The AX series are all-analog devices; there is no DSP or A/D conversion anywhere in the system.

You'll get 1ms "latency" for every foot (0.34m) of air distance between the loudspeaker and your ear, anyway.
A seldom understood and sorely overlooked fact.

Well, due to job specifics I'm well aware about the latency-range translation for radio waves, but completely forgot that the speed of sound is much smaller! Thanks!
Actually I was asking in context of non-Adam monitors which have additional DSP filtering. But I guess there will be no noticeable difference.

Went with a pair of EVE audio SC207 finally. Since it is my first pair of studio monitors, I can't compare to Adams or any other. Very satisfied! Think its a good alternative to A7X given the similar topology and same designers.

Anyone compared the Adam a7x with Yamaha hs8? I am wondering if it's actually wise to make the upgrade from my Hs8, will hear a noticeable difference in terms of quality?
