It has taken me ages to get an acoustic preset I like. The basic tone of many was quite good but they all have a loud attack which is almost unbearable. I have ended up using a Fremen preset with a Taylor 610E IR. In all honesty it probably doesn't sound as acoustic accurate as some but there is no loud attack. I'm using a Line 6 JTV-69. Anyone else have this issue with attack?
Scott Peterson tackled attack with a multi-band compressor. I've not looked at the Mitchell/Cooper and Fremen presets, so don't know how it compares.
If you are interested I have a derivative of Scott's original preset, and the IR which he made by tone matching his PRS and his acoustic. Unfortunately it's not working under 7.0. The new software has introduced some high frequency artefacts, both in the IR and the Studio pre-amp which the preset uses. I'm currently trying to remedy these.
