Accurately measuring pickup output

I have to assume there is a way to do this since the Axe does EVERYTHING- Is there a way accurately measure the output of each pickup in terms of what is being pushed into the front of the Axe FX? You can definitely use your ear and figure it out fairly easily, but I demand perfection! Any thoughts?

Voltmeter if you demand perfection. Then you’ll know exactly what your pickups are putting out, then you can compare that to the meters on the AxeFX. Maybe would be helpful with multiple guitars. Although I find the Input fairly forgiving as far as input signal goes.

Record the input signal to a DAW and compare the waveforms. Pickup transients are very fast and can be hard to measure unless the meter has very fast response rate. By looking at the waveform, you freeze time and can see the whole note envelope in much greater detail.

I use a digital storage oscilloscope. No other way I know of to get an accurate Y-axis (voltage) reading.

The dynamic range of a raw pickup can be insanely large.
