AC Power Question

There is a very good chance I will doing some fly dates in Kenya. The electricity there is 240V at 50 Hertz.

According to the Axe-FX specifications:

Electrical
Input Voltage:100 to 240 VAC, 47 - 63 Hz (universal input)

Reading this I am under the impression that all I would need is a different AC cable for the Axe-FX. Is that correct? What is a universal input?

I use a Furman voltage regulator. It won't accept voltage above 137V. I am uncertain about finding music industry style voltage regulators there but I bet it is plausible to find a UPS made for computers. Would that be sufficient protection?

Thanks guys.

I think "universal input" is only related to the type of plug so yes,
proper power cable is all you need to get your AxeFx working in Africa.
UPS for computers should be some sort of protection,
at least for providing power some time after power is out, if it goes out.
Some UPSs are capable of protecting from voltage "hits" (not sure if that's the word).

Just get an EU spec conditioner. We all use 240v 50hz power supply.

I think its just you weird US guys that use a 110 supply :)
