Wish Ability to assign fx level to global mix for parallel fx

am running a plex delay in parallel on my main clean patch, so the mix has to stay at 100%, but i'd still like to be able to use the global fx mix knob to adjust it
 
That is kind of counter to the way parallel effects work.....

If you want to adjust the mix level why not run it in series ?
 
The global control should still work... But as already mentioned that's not really the way parallel effects work. You'd typically already have the Mix at 100%.
 
Can't you use the plex delay block's input gain knob to get where you need to go, or does it not have one (my Axe3 is a couple thousand miles away at the moment, so can't check)?
 
An Ext Ctrl can be a sort of "user global mix" as ingain/level modifier for any number of blocks/presets.

The challenge then for FC-x users is adjusting the value without dedicating an expression pedal/knob for only that. A MIDI controller with per-preset pedal CC# could have one preset set for this, pedal as another Ext Ctrl otherwise.

Using an FC-x I think you'd have to either temporarily set a pedal as Ext Ctrl, or use Scene MIDI block and loop a CC from out to in via MIDI cable.
