I'd love for the AX8's switches to be MIDI out customizable and be able to send both latched and momentary values so that I could use it to control parameters for my Fishman Triple Play.

Don't own the AX; own the III. But I will always advocate for adding more midi functionality to all of this digital gear as it just makes so much sense. To have it.

I have an Axe-Fx II and an AX8. I also have one GCX loop switcher with a few pedals I still like to use with my amp. Currently, I control the GCX with an iPad and Bandhelper, but it would be really cool to be able to use the AX8 to control the GCX as well.
