9.03 Twin Reverb and a Strat with an laid back vintage tone

I was trying for the first time the Ernie Ball Cobalt strings and did a little recording snippet. I used the normal strat from my singer and from austin Buddy's 700 naked amp tones pack the Twin Reverb. Added some delay and reverb and adjusted according to the fw 9.03 Motor Time Const down to 100ms and left the SPKR Comp on "0". Got some great laid back vintage tone without further tweaking.

So how are you liken the Cobalt's? I tried them a few times but never really bonded with them. (but that was a while ago, when they first came out)

Hi John,

my main guitar is a Les Paul I use the Daddario NYXL which I'm very happy with. This Strat is from my singer and the Cobalts feel and sound realy good on a strat. But I don't know if I will try them with my Les Paul and the Floyd Rose Trem syytem. So far no intention. ;)
