80's hero's preset bundle interest?

I do appreciate your interest as well as those interested. I originally thought creating preset bundles would be a cool thing but after feedback from others and trying other people's presets, they just don't sound good for most people other than a select few as well as the creator.

Some of my.comments below taken from page 6 and some new comments:

I'm not going into the preset business where I create stuff for $10 etc. It is not worth it to me to do that as there are guys already doing it that people are happy with. The stuff I make costs more and depends on the extent of the work on the preset. It's "custom" work after all and takes time to perfect.

Also, several have expressed in this thread that the packed, bundled presets do not always translate well for others. So this is really a show stopper and why I'm not interested in that sort of thing. I'd rather make a preset that works for you instead of one that works for me.

So though I am not doing bundles, I AM doing custom presets for people. If you are after something specific and can provide good samples of the artist you want me to cop as well as DI tracks of you playing, I can create sounds specifically for you that will be much more authentic and accurate than any bundled preset maker.

The keys to great preset creation are good source material to match and for the preset creator to use YOUR DI TRACK, not his signal feed. This is why the majority of presets made by others, fail and don't sound good for everyone.

The ones I make will be the quality and quantity of my Van Halen patch while using your signal instead of mine. That's the best way to describe it.

If I decide to throw out a few sounds, they'll be free or if you want to give a donation, that's cool too. But I'm concentrating on people that want presets custom made that work for them....not just one size fits all.

If it works out for all of us, I'll do more or maybe even custom presets for anyone in need. Then switch to blues, jazz, current, death, country, whatever. I just gotta feel out what you guys are thinking/interested in. I hate even charging for this stuff, but something like this is going to be huge as far as the work involved and I'm going to try for pinpoint accuracy. Sound interesting? Thoughts? Ideas?

See post 53. Danny is now doing this:

"my focus is going to be on working one on one with those that have specific wants and needs that recognize it takes someone's time and knowledge to create this stuff."

So there is no 80's bundle, but Danny can cook up a made to order sound with your DI track. I worked with him a few months ago and got great results.

Actually, there is no "going rate" for what I do. The rate is based on what's needed as we'll as the time it takes to create it. I appreciate your interest....thank you.
