Great stuff and playing. The Loner was great.
I wondered how you were recording it`? External soundcard and camrecorder? How do you mix audio and sound together? What software.
Another question: direct recording to a soundcard has the same settings as playing through studio monitors?
For the first serie of videos, I borrowed a Sony DV camcorder, and recorded the direct sound simultaneously on wavelab. Then I used Nandub and a lot of trial and error to synchronise audio and video. Now I have a Logitech webcam, so the video quality is not the same, but I can record my direct sound and picture simultaneously. I don't use the Logitech software though (it records in mono... meh) but something else, forgot the name, but it's related to Power DVD if i recall well (not at home now, I can't check).
My soundcard output is plugged to my hifi speakers, which I've been using as studio monitors for more than 20 years

Thanks.

Which cam is it. I ask since I`m going to buy a camerea, but don`t now which. A ordinanary Sony hd camera won`t have the ability to record the sound proper!?
Direct recording means no sound come from the monitors to the recording, but straight from the axe? Does that mean another settings than my usual settings for playing through the monitors ( not reorded anything yet. I have audiofire 4 soundcard)

Logitech Webcam Pro 9000

A ordinary Sony hd camera won't have the ability to record the sound proper!?
it will if it has a line in input

No, it means I plugged the output of my Axe into the input of the soundcard, using speaker sims of the Axe, instead of using a poweramp + miked guitar cabinet. Of course there's sound coming out of my monitors, from my soundcard

Hi Fremen, discovered your patches (video 01 - 07) yesterday night. The clean ones from vid 01 absolutely nailed me to the ground. Also you get the thick chorus sound (somewhere between 1:20-1:40 of vid 1) that I used to get with my old Digitech (I sold it last saturday!). I downloaded the ver10.03 patches but it looks like those banks do not contain the clean patches of the first 2 vids. And the .rar on the first page, that I suppose contained them seems not to be useable anymore, I constantly get an error message ! "Banks[1].rar: The file "???" header is corrupt" with three versions of winrar I could find. Any means to get hold of that bank (or at least the two chorus patches) again ?
Thanks & kind greetings from Montauban ("J'aurais jamais du quitter Montauban...", tonton)

Hey, a fellow Frenchmen, hello ;) j'ai un ami originaire de Montauban, établi ici à l'île Maurice
Regarding your query, in fact my presets has evolved a lot since, following firmware revisions. But I still has every bank I saved since fimware 6, so I can check which one I was using when I made this video. I can send you both, just PM me a mail adress

Hello again
In this video
Axe Fx + Strat blues test
Which pickups are in your Strat? Is it a standard american? It sounds so nice. It is the bridge pickup you use in that clip?
I got a Fender Am Stand. and my brigde pickup sounds really thin
I`m thinking about changing it to something else. Ex DiMarzio Cruiser. And maybe something else in the bridge. Something that can
be used for some more humbucker sounds. I got a LP but I like the Fender also. Any suggesstions?

Slightly annoying hi-jack - but a simple 'Like' would not suffice. Don't know how I missed this thread before now! Superb!

When I hear such great sounds and playing coming from that Gen 1 Axe it makes the wait for an AF2 a whole lot easier. Inspiration to tweak my Ultra some more has been re-awakened.

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks maxdown :)

H Smith, those are stock pickups in a standard American Strat. I don't know which pickup models exactly, I don't have the guitar anymore. I use mostly positions 5 (bridge) and 4 in the video. Not a specialist for Strat replacement pickups, sorry ;)

I know this is old as gold, but by any chance are these patches still available online? With the respective IRs? I'd love to give 'em a go. I'm on FW11 on my Ultra, but well, it's worth a shot. Fremen, your work is beyond amazing. Thank you for sharing man, respect.

Thanks to Vaelthunder for his post which called my attention to Fremen's thread - just amazing work Sir Fremen.

BTW - I read one of your earlier posts about having an Ibanez so you could not get strat sounds.

I threw together a couple of Ibanez HSH confrigured clones and installed push/pull pots so I could get the SSS strat sounds at will.

Works great!

Wow, thank you for getting back so fast. I'm downloading this as soon as I get home.

Any extra info that I should know? (For example, which IRs do you use for each patch or any extra IRs that I should download).

I'm guessing I'm gonna have a good time trying these!

Cheers.

Sorry if I sound too dumb, but I can't find any download link (to the rar file you mentioned) in the URL above. Can you help me out? Thanks :)

Awesome! Gonna start trying these tonight and I'll leave feedback soon. Thanks once again fremen :)

Edit: Just saw the xls file. WOW! I need to do this for my banks as well. Great work!
