7 pin breakout cable?

I use a MOTU Micro Express to merge my foot controller and the AxeFX editor... it works well, but it of course does not have any 7 pin jacks, just a pair of 5 pins.

I have the Rocktron 7pin->5pin cable that I can use for one direction, but I still need another cable going the other. Is there a 7pin cable that breaks out into 2 seperate 5pins and a power?

Or even a splitter that will take a fully wired 5pin and split the input pins and the output pins into separate jacks?


I'd love to have just one cable going from the board to the rack, but I want to be able to keep using my merger...

AFAIK using pins 4-5 for bidirectional communication is not standardized. So, I wouldn't expect an off the shelf cable to be available.
Buying a few plugs and making such a cable yourself shouldn't be too hard if you don't mind a bit of soldering.

Looks like the TC Nova system uses a Y cable... would this one work with the Axe?

Yes, I think it should work, but don't you also need pins 6-7 for power?

I was thinking I'd plug that cable into this cable:

I know that cable works, I already have it... so if the other cable works (and if my MIDI couplers work on all 5 pins), in theory I should be able to just have one cable going from pedalboard to rack...
