It's a bug in the Windows driver. We are hoping for an updated driver later this week. If you have access to a Mac you can use that. The issue also seems must less prevalent on Windows 10 Pro.

Some things to try in the interim if you want:
1. Set Windows to optimize background tasks.
2. Back up only one bank at a time.
3. Use a Mac.
