1/4" vs 1/8" trs cable mission pedals?

Guys and Gals,
I wanted to get my mission pedals (expression) up and running and of course I couldn't find any of my 1/4" trs cables:evil Then I remembered I had 1/8" to 1/4" converter plugs and the little 1/8" cable from an mp3 player. It seems to be working well. Is there any reason to use 1/4" cables since the guitar signal isn't running through it?

Slightly jury-rigged approach, but it's not going to hurt anything. For the meantime till you get the right cable it works, right?

Heh - I need to order one more from them so right now I have 2 TRS Send/Receive cables alligator-clipped together to get the last pedal working. :ugeek
