Apps like that are good for targeted keep-alive. High-maintenance Microsoft Teams decides my status is unavailable if I spend too long in another app, reading, or on another machine/os, without interacting with it.
This was a very common bug that Apple fixed in a update. I had this issue with external display now coming back on after sleep as well.
I am on 11.5.2 and I do not have this issue.
Suggest you update to 11.5.2 the latest build and it should resolve your issue.
I just set the app up. It looks useful, if for no other reason than it can keep the screen from sleeping while I have one of the editors open.
I have a Dell TB16 Thunderbolt hub but I only use that at home.OS is up-to-date.
I ordered a Caldigit Element Hub , since I have other uses for it as well. I’ll report back …
That looks like a good range of ports, like I'd have loved to see on my M1. Thanks for sharing that! What solved USB problems on my mini was this:

It’s exactly how Im connected to my m1 mini - probably why I’ve had no issues!Yes, I did some research and connecting a hub to USB-C seems to solve this. Weird …
Sigh, USB …
Don't just add a USB hub: completely stop using all USB ports on the computer itself.
This also eliminated some problems I was having with bluetooth sometimes pausing.
I have had several previous iterations of this ….this one has been unavailable for some time …….just checked with OWC on my preorder and like everyone, they are having supply chain issues and were disappointingly vague about ETA.What solved USB problems on my mini was this:

This is the dock I have for my M1 MacBook Pro. Works great! What solved USB problems on my mini was this:

Yes but make sure it's not a USB A port.I think that Matt means: connect a hub to one port
FWIW, I disable Sleep mode on all my managed laptops (personal & work, all Windows boxes).
Has caused me a lot of problems. Not sure how the Apple products fare.
This is what I use and it works like a dream. I can recommend. (Just make sure you don't kill your harddrive). For Mac users: to keep that Mac wide-awake and sleep-free, Why not try some Amphetamine? Free on the App Store.

150 baud was good enough for us in the good ol' days.cant we just go back to a good old serial com port? Bullet proof imo...
I think it was Cliff that said "640K RAM is enough for anyone" then look at all the storage he peddled onto us!150 baud was good enough for us in the good ol' days.
