Hi! I love my FM9, I've had it for about a year now. It's extremely versatile for tone-chasing and sculpting, which is 80% of what I've used it for. Cubase/Nuendo is my DAW.
I'm trying to learn how to mix music and record covers as well as practicing guitar. But, there seems to be a gap in...
Hi all,
This is my first post here! Been lurking the forums quite a bit over the last couple weeks, nice to finally meet y'all. Got the AFX III recently, and am also extremely new to recording, after having played guitar most of my life. I've been overwhelmed with all this (learning...
I'm wondering how everyone is routing their Axe FX III within Logic Pro X when using the Axe III as their interface. I know a lot of people use additional audio interfaces in conjunction with their III, but I prefer to keep a simple setup. I spend the majority of my time mixing, playing over...
while removing the harsh frequencies , I'm wondering if the major contribution of these harsh frequencies while sweeping to find it is because mainly of the impulse response?
OR is it the guitar playing , guitar amp of choice, AND the impulse response altogether?
Hi, friends!
Here you have the latest cover I´ve made with Siegfried Song, Judas Priest´s Firepower, featuring Wee on lead guitar.
All guitar and bass sounds are through my Axe FX II, and I edited, mixed and mastered everything, besides playing rhythm guitar, bass and programming drums.
I...
Hey guys, I've got a question for the routing and signal path geeks. I'm hoping I can explain myself clearly on this one:
Before I start, here's the gear I'm using:
AxeFX II Mark II
Digi 002 Rack
Reaper (DAW)
I want to use my AxeFX as an FX box for my mixes in Reaper. For example, I'd like to...
Yea, it's metal again :)
Recently I finished mixing this track.
For re-amp I used Angle Severe 1 model + Ownhammer HHC II 412 EDVH with V30 cab which is EVH 5150 III 4x12 cabinet
DI files were good but had some low-end mud issue so I used two filters at the beginning of the chain:

Hi all,
I have checked some of the other posts, but they are pretty outdated now.So had to create a new one.
I live in an apartment and can't get too loud. My budget is around $200. I was planning to go for athm50x headphones and it is going to be mainly used for recording and...
usually for this kind of stuff I use standards like 6160 or DasMetal, but for these guys I went for Friedman HBE v1, and oh boy how cool it turned out to be!
It gave that required tight sharpness and djenty feel. very cool
Hi, folks, I just want to share a trailer of the work I made recording, mixing and mastering Vikingore´s Enraged, a Viking Metal band from Spain.
All guitars and bass were recorded using Axe FX II.
I hope you like it!
Hi guys!
I get a lot of questions about how I process my (programmed) drums.
That's why I decided to make a few new YouTube videos that explain my methods.
In this first episode I show how I mix the David Bendeth expansion from Steven Slate Drums but the tricks and techniques can be used on...
@brokenvail asked me for a tutorial with tips and tricks in this thread on how to mix IR's and I thought it was a great idea. Sure it's also one of those topics that has taken me years to perfect to where it is now. This is just a quick way everyone can have some fun experimenting with IR...
Okay, not new to recording, but coming back after a 10 year hiatus....
I used a Korg D1600 for many years (yup, old school, and somewhat lo-tech). With that, I knew that when I mixed down, everything was there. No more effects needed to be applied, because I mastered in Samplitude.
With...
