    Erratic Behaviour of the Standard

Sure sounds like a battery issue. Sure you got it in there right side up? It is not unheard of that a "new" battery doesn't have a charge. Only way to know for sure is to test the battery with a multi-voltage meter.

Experiencing a lot of feedback from the mic in rehearsal

In your rehearsal space, you might consider pointing the speakers towards you ( like with monitors) so you can hear them. If you can't hear the vocals, the tendency is to turn them up too much and you are sure to have feedback.

    Guitar input into ultra

Yes, there is a significant difference. The front input adds what is called " special sauce " by Fractal Audio. Is there a reason you can't just plug in front ? All output cables will still be in the back of rack.

Vocals and guitar + internal A/B switch ( Axe Ultra )

Thanks Bakerman! I appreciate the response. I may be misunderstanding this. Seems that the options would be , when modifier switch is pushed, either Output 1 or Output 2 is muted. This then mutes guitar signal when Output 1 is muted as well, yes? I need guitar always passing to loop. Maybe I'm...

Vocals and guitar + internal A/B switch ( Axe Ultra )

I was hoping someone here could answer this: I usually loop both guitar and vocals ( Boomerang 3) using a mixer and an A/B box to insert vocals for harmonizing with myself and mouth percussion. (In this set up I would not be muting the thru signal in the Boomerang, both the direct signal and...

    Ultra Encoder Issue

Yeah, My intent was to spray first with Deoxit Fader Cleaner ( less gunk left behind) and if that didn't work Regular Deoxit. I would apply this around the post and let it slowly work it's way into the decoder. ( hence have that knob upright) I would remove the entire knob for this process...

Yo y'all, Sorry, have no video gear and no cell phone. Can't help you wit that. ( no cell phone? holy shit!!) But really, just look at the knob and you'll see the gap where the cap is . Slip something thin in that gap and pop it off. Tighten the nut and if that corrects the slipping, doo-dah...

    Ultra Encoder Issue

Just to re-emphasize: Knobs that don't have locking screws usually have a split post, that holds by tension/ friction. Not the case here! ... and the post is made of plastic and is threaded. Pry off the cap, not the the knob!! Respect, Otis

    Ultra Encoder Issue

There are many posts (not just in this thread) suggesting "prying" the encoder knob off. After a recurrence of the "slipping" values, I discovered the following: There is indeed a thin cap on the front of that encoder knob that you pop off. ( I used jewelers screw driver) Behind that cap there...

Preview of the MidyAX - A new tool to enhance the AXE-FX experience

Palygap, It seems what most people have been asking for is a two space version of the BCR2000. If that was in a rack, the rack would have to be elevated in order to use controls. You would do the same with this, and it would be even more utilitarian, with controls on top. And no, I didn't mean...
