Activate Delay block for single notes to trail off while playing?

Wishing to setup an IA switch to momentarily send single notes to a parallel Delay block. Got as far as momentarily turning on the Delay block but the delay tails don't keep going when I release the switch as the block is bypassed. Any thoughts on how to achieve this?

I thought I was but I'm open to correction... Ok, after considering your observations maybe the delay is missing the sustained chime of the main guitar and I'm hearing more attack in the delay. Thanks for exploring that. ;-)

HPF, right! The delay, to my ears, seems to lack some of the low end that the original guitar exhibits. True the vid might have compression but even then it seems that the original playing has more dynamics than the delay. Either way digging my delays more... ;-)

Chris, Hpf... I could be wrong but the delay doesn't seem as full to me. Maybe it's just the compressor on the delay, (the delay seems less dynamic relative to his playing)?

Hi Stereotactic, No, no flying. From memory the cost was close to a 4U SKB shockmount roller rack except the Maytech has many more features/form and function factor for my Axe Fx IIXL needs than anything on the market.

The people at Maytech Music Systems built me a 4U Shockmount Roller Rack and breakout panel that's been a true convenience for quick setup/breakdown. Mine has speaker post top hats for mounting an iPad to but you could save a little space by not having those .

Any small wireless systems?

+1 for Xvive U2 system. Easy to charge off usb and easy to use. If you have piezo/active, (any batteries) you might get a hum and some people have talked about resolving that by extending it, (with a mono female to mono male cable) to a pouch on your strap which is what I do when using a strap...

Heads Up! Maytech Music Systems http://www.maytechmusic.com/ is working on a 4 space roller rack right now for me. Might cost a little more than the other options but I'm excited to see what they come up with. Especially with their experience on the FX8 (me thinks) pedalboard trolley! ;-)

Sync Exp Pedal 3 on pedal board to Ext Controller 3 in Axe FX IIXL

I'll say this...I'm programming CC 18 into the JR+, (I think it shows in the pic as well). I'll double check Axe FX Ctrl number when I have rig setup again but I believe that number is set as well in Axe FX IIXL I/O... No doubt I'm doing something wrong and just need to discover it! ;-)

Sync Exp Pedal 3 on pedal board to Ext Controller 3 in Axe FX IIXL

LF JR+ >> Axe FX IIXL Exp Pedals 1, 2, 4 are all doing fine in their roles. However Exp 3 is having trouble syncing up to External Controller 3 in Axe FX Pedal and Cable for Exp 3 work fine in Exp 1, 2 and External Controllers 1,2 can manipulate the pitch effect. Exp 3 is seen by the LF Editor...

I have the Axe Fx IIXL communicating with a Liquid Foot JR+ and when I switch the Axe Fx IIXL from preset 011 to 012 it will then automatically switch down to Preset 005. Presets 016. 024 default to 005. This also happens when I select the Presets from the Liquid Foot. Curious... Anybody know...

For those interested.... In LF+ Editor Version 4.70 Click "Global" Button up top Under "External Device Sync Items" Turn on the "Allow Ext Device Force changes" switch and that should work...

Controlling the Axe-Fx II with LF+ - SetListMaker/BandHelper - phantom power

Smart MIDI people... Trying to make it so that by using the Liquid Foot Phantom Power Box, (that has a MIDI Out available) I can have one 7 pin MIDI cable in this chain rather than having to hook up two MIDI cables to send and receive like the RJM seems to need in this scenario. Thoughts? RJM...

Axe FX II FAS USB as an audio hardware problem in Reaper

Solarfire...If you're ever in Seattle area I owe you man! Your info on the difference of USB2 and USB3 got me up and going as I had the Axe plugged into the USB3. Switched it over and boom! up and running...thanks mang!!!

I remember selling my Triaxis based rack wondering if the Ultra would be worth it. Soooo glad I did! With the XL I cannot imagine my recording or playing life being any easier. It truly is more and better than I could ask for. #grateful

OK, Got the Axe hooked up to Axe Edit through the Axiom 49 MIDI Controller...We now have Firmware 10.02 Installed!!! Axe Edit recognized the FX when I switched midi input to USB Axiom 49 In2 and of course make sure to use the appropriate Sysex ID depending on your firmware version.

Pulled the trigger on an Ultra now reading some .....

Jackyl666, I had concerns about purchasing the Axe FX Ultra as I had to sell all my gear to bankroll it (Triaxis/G-Force etc.). What I noticed is that when I brought up the USA Rhythm and USA Leads they sounded and felt like my Triaxis. And the Harmonizer sounded really good...It did not...

Krap! SysEx is done but the Axe FX is not rebooting...Just sitting there with "File Transfer in Progress" Any suggestions? I have to go help a neighbor and will leave the Axe FX on till I get a response... Regards conga

Mark, Thanks for the well wishes on my current situation however, It's not like the known problematic MIDI interfaces for the Axe FX are universal transcendentals like Logic, Science and Morality! I may not be the engineering type that reads through everything I should but a simple response...

Hey fellow Axe FXers... Trying to upgrade latest firmware...Axe gives bar graph for File Transfer in Progress but when the computer is done transferring the AXE FX just sits there frozen until I turn it off and on back on to which there is only the older firmware. using Bome's SendSX 1.22...

AXE-FX and TC- GFORCE

I sold my G-Force and Triaxis to fund my Ultra and I am very content. I don't have the two units side by side to compare things but from memory it seems that the pitch shifting is better in the Axe FX...Very smooth indeed. Doesn't sound "glitchy". Jerotas...wassup from WA...How's China going...

Ernie Ball Vol. Pedal as Exp. Pedal for Liquid Foot Jr.?

Interesting....$175.00?! Yikes!!! Thanks for the link...I am hoping to find somebody that discusses the mod so I can work it myself. My Ernie Balls pedals worked fine with the DMC Ground Control but alas... The Liquid Foot Jr. is different so a hunting I must go. Peace conga
